I’m not Korean… will that be a problem?
I’m from Brazil, and sometimes I wonder if K-pop companies are open to foreign trainees.
Do they treat non-Korean trainees differently? Do we get the same chances to debut?
I’m learning Korean as much as I can, but I’m worried about fitting in.
I don’t want to give up just because I was born in another country.
Are there successful idols who started just like me?
I’ve been to Korea a few times, and Korean people are super kind to foreigners.
Aren’t entertainment companies the same too? I mean, look at BLACKPINK’s Lisa — she’s from Thailand, but she gets along so well with the Korean members, and from what I can tell as a fan, she’s never been treated differently.
Let’s keep working hard together! I haven’t been preparing for long either, but I’m starting to feel more confident.
Let’s stay in touch here! 💪
Hello. Wonderful.
Compared to other countries, Korea is very open to foreigners.
For Wonderful to enter a management company and become a K-pop star, nationality is not important. Wonderful's sincerity and effort are what are important.
If you continue to learn Korean, your trainee life will be easier. Thank you.
