I’ve been dreaming of becoming a K-pop idol

Hi everyone! I’ve been dreaming of becoming a K-pop idol, and the more I chase this dream, the more curious I become about Korea.
I want to know what everyday life is like there—not just for idols, but for students, families, and people my age.
What do trainees usually eat? What do they do on their days off? Are there places in Seoul where idols go to relax?
I’m also really interested in Korean culture—like traditional holidays, school life, and the way people communicate.
Learning Korean has made me feel closer to the country, and I can’t wait to visit someday and experience it all for myself.
Sometimes I feel nervous about fitting in as a foreigner, but my love for Korea and this dream keeps me going.

Hi Mari14 oo! 🌟
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful message. We can really feel your passion — not just for K-pop, but for Korea and its culture as a whole. That curiosity and dedication is exactly what makes your dream even more powerful.

At Star Bank Daeppang, we believe that learning Korean is one of the best ways to truly connect with everyday life in Korea — and you’re already doing it! 🇰🇷✨

To answer your questions:

🍱 What do trainees usually eat?
Many K-pop trainees eat simple and healthy meals like rice, vegetables, soup, and grilled chicken. Some also follow special diets depending on their training schedules, but they always try to stay energized and strong.

🧘‍♀️ What do they do on their days off?
When they get a rare break, trainees often rest, visit cafés, hang out with friends, or explore peaceful spots in Seoul like the Han River or quiet neighborhoods in Ikseon-dong and Seochon.

🌸 Where do idols go to relax?
Some idols enjoy visiting art galleries, cozy cafés, hiking trails like Bukhansan, or even karaoke rooms with friends — just like many young people in Korea.

🎎 Curious about Korean culture?
Great! We cover topics like Korean holidays, school life, how people speak politely, and even cultural habits in our lessons — so you won’t just learn the language, you’ll learn how to feel at home in Korean society.

And don’t worry about being a foreigner. So many of our students have felt the same way at first — but your love, effort, and respect for Korea will always shine through. 🌍💖

We’re cheering you on, and we’re here to help you get closer to your dream — one lesson, one word, and one song at a time.
Keep going, and we hope to welcome you to Korea someday soon. ✈️🌟

With love and support,
The Star Bank Daeppang Team 💫
